Conversion Tracking Software

The conversion tracking software that I am currently using is called Conversion Gold. This conversion tracker has many great features. It enables you tracking conversions on multiple web sites from a central location. This means that you only have to install the software once, and then you can placing tracking code on many sites, even if they reside on different servers. This gives you a central, conversion control panel, allowing you to monitor all your conversions at once.

Conversion Gold enables to you drill-down, viewing conversions by domain, page, directory, and search engine keyword.

I have dramatically increased my conversions using this software. I will be posting more details and screen snaps soon. For now, click here for more information.

Conversion Optimization

One of the most important online business strategies is conversion optimization. It one the most effective ways to boost web earnings that most people have never heard of.

What is Conversion Optimization?

Web site Conversion optimization is the art and science of turning web visitors into paying customers. The goal is to convert as may as possible into from vistors to customers. On way to sum up the value of conversion optimization is the following:

There are two ways to double your earnings from a web site: 1) double the number of visitors to your site, or 2) with the same number of vistors, convince twice as many to buy, or take other action that makes you money.

By making some adjustments to your site, you can probably improve the conversion significantly, earning you more money with the same number of web site visitors.

Conversion Ratio (or Conversion Rate)

The conversion ratio (also known as the conversion rate) is the percentage of web vistors who take action towards a conversion goal. A conversion goal is defined by you, some action that you want vistors to take. It is usually the purchase of a product or service, but sometimes it may to generate a lead, mailing list subscription, or clicking on an advertisement. So if you get 100 web visitors and 2 of them buy your product, that is a conversion ratio of 2%. Typical conversion rates vary by industry and type of conversion, but in many cases, conversion rates above 1% are considered quite good. Conversion optimization seeks to maximize the conversion ratio.

How to implement Conversion Optimization

You can optimize the conversion of your web site by testing. By making small adjustments to your web site, this can have a significant impact in the conversion ratio. Most people are shocked by the impact of seemingly minor changes - I know that I was shocked at first. Often times, changes that you think will make zero difference, end up making a big difference. Here are some things that you can test:

Page Layout

Headline Text

Color Scheme

Font Size

Page Length

Position of Offer

Navigation Path

Menus

Conversion Tracking

When conducting conversion optimization tests, it very important to implement conversion tracking to measure the success of those tests. When doing a test, you should modify only a single aspect of your site, and then compare the conversion ratio between the two. If your site converts better with the change, keep it, othewise try another test. If the site does convert better, you should continue testing other factors, tracking the conversion rates each time. Conversion optimization is a continual process of refinement.

Conversion Tracking Software

In order to track conversions effectively, you need to use conversion tracking software. I use a great software tracker called ConversionGold. This conversion tracker is easy to implement and tracks conversions on multiple web sites. It provides great reports, enabling you to measure conversions on a per page, domain, referer, and search kewyord basis. You can even assign a dollar value for each conversion goal, enabling you to track earnings as well. Read more about the tracker by clicking here.
